Hardcore pioneer producer DJ Promo always had his experimental
side with Rude Awakening. Now he's up to something different and
this is the result. With respected dutch vocalists he takes his
sound to a new level! Hiphop with a hardcore touch to it.
This music has been released at the Amsterdam Dance Event as
promotional copy. The music will probably be only sold on ITunes,
making this quite a collector's item.

Apparently this is not strictly hardcore, it's a kind of mashup of hardcore and hip-hop.
There is no techno, we just didn't want to create new genre on website "Hip-Hop".
Last time this is third release where artists trying to combine hip-hop with hardcore:
1 Schakkerhart - Hakke Rap A Tribute 2 Gabber Culture -
2 Drokz & Mr Courage - CoffeeCore Mixtape (Hip-Hop meets Hardcore)
Maybe this will set the fashion, and soon we'll see more hip-hop/gabber albums from the other hardcore producers/djs...
This album by Promo is pretty good (but i won't listen it more), and a little unusual, but Schakkerhart's is better, more energetic but has a worse quality and CoffeeCore Mixtape has a lot of hardcore, much more than hip-hop.
